Individuals and companies from around the world have begun sharing in the success of Peru’s blue gold by investing in and owning a real portion of productive land for the export of blueberries and, eventually, table grapes. The new 1,005-hectare agro-industrial complex in Piura, Peru, will establish a cooperative named Fundo Azul. Beatriz Tubino, New Business Manager at Agroextiende Perú, stated: “We manage third-party investments to develop the agro-export business. Returns are a minimum of 25% on investment. It is open to individual and corporate investors from all over the world.”
